My baby girl Ella turned ONE! Where did the time go? How freaking cute is the look she gives her cake, as if to say “is this for ME?!”. Because this was smack dab in the middle of COVID-19 lockdown protocols, I could not do this session the way I was hoping and had to settle for a very simple session in my own backyard, with a few hastily put together props, and the only cake I could find, which was red velvet. I was surprised at how hesitant she was to attack the cake considering how much she LOVES food but once she got in there she most assuredly did not want to stop. Once her clothes, the blanket, and even the grass, were stained red with cake we dunked her in the bath and had some good birthday snuggles.
